Yi-Wei Cheng is currently a senior student in the department of Healthcare Administration and Medical Informatics from Kaohsiung Medical University. Being an undergraduate, He used to do research work on Robotics, Internet of Things, Biomedical Signal Processing, Machine Learning, and Natural Language processing. He has built a 6-dof mini Stewart platform and controlled its movement by inverse kinematics with Arduino Uno. He also use Raspberry pi to build a long-distance autonomous UGV, equipped with real-time surveillance function and remote controlled by Android app. He was an intern at Taichung Veterans General Hospital Computer & Communications Center last year and conducted a project of applying Optical Character Recognition technique on medical services Robot. Yi-Wei Cheng developed an Android App on Zenbo(an ASUS robot), which can recognize patients’ personal data by their personal health insurance card, and then make an appointment on-line or other medical services. Later, the results were submitted to the "2017 TANET" conference, which has been accepted and published. Recently, with the advice of his advisor, he published another paper, " Gesture Recognition of EMG signals using machine learning algorithm", using SVM on EMG gesture analysis, and submitted to the National Calculator Conference.
